What we collect and why

  • Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe, we store the first name and email address you enter so that we can send you our emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location (country or city), and your device and browser type, using cookies and similar identifiers. We look at this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify individual visitors.
  • Server and security logs. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is needed to serve the site and to guard against abuse.
  • Comments. Where comments are open, we collect the details you enter in the comment form, together with your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so that we can reply.

We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights
